Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is Anna Silk (born January 31, 1974) is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her role as Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk who was a well-known actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is a bit of a child with most fond memories of watching TV and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk played a role as a young girl in commercials. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the early days: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto and moved to Los Angeles within the decade that followed 1999. She met her new spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training located in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got married in December of 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. Following her conversion to Judaism the couple renew their vows in a Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman's birth took place May 2013and had a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. Silk was cast in the role of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk became pregnant during production of the season three finale. She announced the news to viewers on the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk announced on Twitter on the 20th of June, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the start of Production for the Fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a large online audience using social media.
